Symposium and Oral Presentation Information

  • Schedule: Oral presentation times are listed in the conference schedule, linked HERE. You will present in the order indicated on the schedule.
  • Timing: Each session is 75 minutes long. Individual presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length. We will reserve 10-15 minutes at the end of the session for Q&A. 
  • File Formatting: Slide decks must meet the following criteria.
    • Please avoid slides with too much text. 
    • Use font sizes of 24 or greater.
    • Use the following file naming convention:
      • Oral presentations: LastNameFirstInitial_OralPresentation_Version#
        • EX. DoeJ_OralPresentation_Version1
      • Symposium presentations: PresentationNum_LastNameFirstInitial_SymposiumPresentation_Version#
        • EX. 3_DoeJ_SymposiumPresentation_Version1
          • PresentationNum is your presentation number on the schedule. (Symposium only.)
          • Please update the version number if you upload a new separate file (e.g., Use 5_DoeJ_OralPresentation_Version2 for your revised presentation file).
  • File Upload: Presenters will upload slides to THIS FOLDER no later than Friday, October 12, 2024.

Poster Presentation Information

  • Schedule: Poster session assignments are listed in the conference schedule, linked HERE.
    • Poster Session I: Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 4:30 – 5:30 PM
    • Poster Session II: Friday, October 18, 2024 at 10:45 AM – Noon
  • Poster Formatting: Posters must meet the following criteria.
    • Posters must be horizontal and a maximum size of 42 inches tall by 60 inches wide.
    • Indicate the presenting author in the author block with bolded font.
    • Illustrations must be legible from a distance of 3 feet. 
  • Arranging Posters: You may place your poster on your board at the following times.
    • Wednesday, October 16, 2024 between 7:00 AM and 3:15 PM
    • Friday, October 18, 2024 between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM
  • Discarding Posters: Any posters left on the board at the end of the day will be discarded.
  • Printing Posters: We are working on identifying discount poster printing for the conference and will provide more information when it is available.

  • All presenters must register for the AHSR 2024 conference. We will withdraw your presentation if you have not registered by September 27, 2024.
