About AHSR

The Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR) conference, held since 2002, brings together researchers, policymakers, and treatment providers to solve the problems of inequity, access, effectiveness, and implementation of addiction services.

This conference has been hosted across the United States at leading institutions, including Weill Cornell Medicine, Brandeis University, the University of Utah School of Medicine, Brown University, and more.

This year, the conference is hosted by the Center for Dissemination and Implementation (CDI), a Stanford University initiative, at the historic Palace Hotel in the beautiful and bustling city of San Francisco, near quintessential landmarks including the cable cars and Chinatown.

AHSR leads with an agenda that furthers the positive impact of prevention and treatment services for substance misuse and use disorders.

Attendees can expect:

  • A slate of distinguished plenary speakers
  • Discussion of cutting-edge health services research findings
  • Development of collaborative relationships
  • Opportunities to support the careers of junior and diverse investigators
  • New this year, we've added a half-day to the conference! Pre-conference workshops will be held Wednesday morning, October 16, with the conference officially starting at 1:30pm and running until 12:00pm Friday, October 18.
