Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR) 2024 Conference attendees are invited to participate in a mentoring program for students and junior faculty. Sponsored by the Brandeis-Harvard SPIRE Center, this program will match mentees with mentors based on research interests. Participants will meet at a mutually convenient time during the conference to discuss topics that may include, for example, career development, manuscript and proposal ideas, strategies for proposal development, or balancing research and institutional obligations. We hope this experience helps to expand your professional network.

Mentees

Mentees are students or junior faculty who received their terminal degree in the past 5 years and are pursuing a career in addiction health services research (MDs may count from the end of residency or postdoctoral program). The time commitment for this is a one-time meeting during the conference. We ask that you complete a brief post-meeting survey to help us improve the program.

Mentors

The ongoing success of this program is due to the wonderful mentors who enjoy welcoming new researchers to the field. Mentors must have a terminal degree and experience in addiction health services research. Mid-career and senior researchers are encouraged to volunteer – you have a lot to share; consider volunteering today! The time commitment for this is a one-time meeting during the conference. We ask that you complete a brief post-meeting survey to help us improve the program.
