Stephan R. Lindner, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Center for Health Systems Effectiveness (CHSE) in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University, with a secondary appointment at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. His academic research aims at improving the performance of health systems, with a focus on the Medicaid program and people with substance use and mental health conditions. His work has been published in leading health services and medical journals, including Health Affairs, Health Services Research, JAMA Health Forum, and Milbank Quarterly. He is also a member of Health Service Research’s Editorial Board. Dr. Lindner received his PhD from the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan.
