Randy Brown, MD, PhD, focuses on the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders in non‑specialty settings, including primary care, hospitals, pharmacies, and criminal justice environments. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine and has been a certified buprenorphine prescriber since 2001. Trained through the NIH/NRSA Primary Care Research Fellowship, he earned a PhD in Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin. His research addresses opioid misuse prevention, technology‑supported recovery, and medication treatment for substance use disorders, with emerging work on therapeutic applications of psilocybin and MDMA. Dr. Brown holds multiple clinical, leadership, and national education roles in addiction medicine.
